Stellar Names Clint Pyle SVP/CFO; Scott Witt Joins Board

Clint Pyle has been promoted to the position of senior vice president and chief financial officer of Stellar, a Jacksonville, Florida-headquartered firm specializing in concept-to-completion turnkey design, engineering, construction and mechanical services for cold storage operators and clients in the food processing, grocery, other commercial and public sectors. He succeeded Scott Witt, who is now on the company’s board of directors and serves as chairman of the finance committee.

clint pyleClint PylePyle is a licensed CPA with almost 20 years of accounting and finance experience. He most recently worked as divisional vice president of shared services. Prior to joining Stellar in 2006, the new senior vice president managed finance and planning at the Florida-based St. Joe Company, and was an accountant at CNL Financial Group in Orlando.

Meanwhile, Stellar has promoted Jason Duff to the position of division vice president-engineering. Luke Facemyer is now division vice president-refrigeration contracting, and Chris Williams has been named vice president of operations-mechanical services.

Also promoted were Amy Rojas to director of human resources, Mike Davis to operations manager, and Sid Sapp to senior superintendent.

New Office for Gulf Coast

In other news, Stellar recently opened a new office near Mobile, Alabama that offers a full line of refrigeration and contracting repair and maintenance services for customers in the US Gulf Coast, Louisiana and Texas regions. It provides 24/7 emergency refrigeration service, compressor rebuild and repair, process safety management, regulatory compliance management and system optimization expertise.

“The opening of this office allows us to more effectively support our clients and the markets we serve in the Gulf Coast region,” said Jeff Williams, senior vice president-refrigeration services. “The new staff will fill in the gaps between our existing Florida, Texas and Birmingham locations, and will continue to provide the best solutions for our clients’ refrigeration service needs.”

Ranked as an industry leader in industrial refrigeration solutions, Stellar employs some 230 designers, engineers, installers and service experts. Its refrigeration teams have been involved in more than 1,000 installations over nearly three decades. The company has extensive experience with ammonia, CO2, glycol, Freon and other refrigerants, and installation of systems with up to 42,000 tons of refrigeration.
