The Tillamook Country Creamery Association (TCCA), a farmer-owned cooperative founded in Oregon in 1909, has added Tillamook Frozen Custard to its product portfolio. The range of eight products is being presented as the brand’s richest and creamiest frozen offering yet, made with at least 16 percent butterfat, extra cream, cage-free eggs and no bioengineered ingredients.

“We wanted to develop something new that gave consumers more of what they were seeking: indulgence. And with its unique base and silky texture, we knew a frozen custard line fit the bill perfectly,” said Leo Castello Branco, TCCA’s senior category manager of ice cream.

The flavors range from Oregon Strawberry Shortcake and Chocolate Fudgy Brownie to Sea Salt & Honeycomb Toffee, Bing Cherry Cheesecake, Cold Brew Chocolate Chip, Dark Chocolate & Red Raspberry, Maple & Candied Pecan, and Salted Caramel.

The Tillamook Frozen Custard assortment comes to stores at a time when more than 48 percent of Americans consider all food and beverage occasions snacking occasions, according to a recent Hartman Group survey. In fact, 66 percent of those polled reported eating indulgent snacks at least once a week, and almost 30 percent claimed to enjoy them five times or more per week.

In addition to the new 15-ounce Frozen Custard SKUs, TCCA is debuting several flavor updates to its Family-Size Ice Cream roster. Caramel Swirl brings another classic flavor to the lineup, while a reformulated Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough ice cream serves up 60 percent more cookie dough pieces, and an updated Cookies & Cream ice cream recipe adds 70 percent more cookie pieces.

Tillamook Frozen Custards are now available at select retailers in the Western United States, including Albertsons/Safeway and Kroger, with an SRP of $4.99.

TCCA is owned by almost 80 farming families, primarily based in Tillamook County, Oregon. The cooperative operates production facilities in Tillamook and Boardman, and employs more than 900 people throughout the state.
