Linda McCartney Foods Vegetarian ¼ LB Burgers are being recalled from Asda, Morrisons, Tesco and other retail food stores in the United Kingdom due to the possible presence of milk ingredients, an undeclared allergen that may pose a health risk to persons with an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents.

Consumers who bought the 227g frozen twin–packs bearing a date code of JAN 2024 and batch codes of either 20922, 21022 or 22122, are asked to return them to the place of purchase to receive a full refund. A receipt is not required.

The recall was triggered after the producer, Hain Frozen Foods UK, determined that there may been ¼ LB Mozzarella Burgers mistakenly inserted into a small number of ¼ LB Vegetarian Burger packages. No other products are affected, and further information is available by ringing the Linda McCartney Customer Care Line: 0800 62669.

Linda McCartney Foods, founded almost 30 years ago by photographer, musician, animal rights activist and vegetarian Linda McCartney, has been among the pioneers of the vegetarianism movement in Britain. In addition to vegetarian burgers, its extensive line of frozen products includes vegetarian chicken nuggets, sausages, tacos, country pies and much more.
