With Halloween just a little more than one month away, the White Castle fast food chain is planning discount deals and offering special treats at its restaurants as well as in the frozen food aisles of retail stores across America – including Halloween-themed packaging.
The Columbus, Ohio-based company’s retail division is introducing its first limited-time holiday packaging in an effort to attract shoppers seeking festive snacks to serve during October. Inside the colorful party-size boxes are 16 “Easy to Heat Halloween Treat” Jalapeño Cheese Sliders.
The packaging is designed to stand out from other items in the freezer case, reminding shoppers that Sliders offer a tasty, convenient and fun option for Halloween parties, dinner or as a post trick-or-treating snack. The product is now available at grocery stores including Jewel-Osco, Save A Lot and other regional retailers.
According to data released from Advantage Solutions, consumers in the USA are planning to spend more money on Halloween décor, costumes, candy and food in 2024 than they did in 2023. Half of shoppers surveyed aim to part with $51 or more to buy candy this year while 59% will spend that amount for Halloween food. Furthermore, 40% will celebrate Halloween with larger groups than last year and 22% plan to host a party in 2024.
“We encourage our Cravers to creep on over to the nearest retail store or Castle to pick up some Sliders for Halloween,” said Jamie Richardson, vice president. “They’re so craveable, it’s almost scary!”
