TNA, a Sydney, Australia-headquartered food processing and packaging equipment maker, has officially opened a state-of-the-art factory to support global demand for high performance food packaging solutions. Situated in the Melbourne suburb of Boronia, the new facility allows the company to triple the output of cutting-edge equipment, including its flagship vertical form fill and seal (VFFS) packaging system, the tna robag.

The site incorporates a training and demonstration center to provide customers with an opportunity to experience equipment running in a live operational environment. In combination with the company’s wide range of on-site and online training programs, it will help clients improve workplace safety, reduce downtime, enhance operational efficiencies and maximize the lifespan and performance of their equipment.

Since then, demand for our integrated packaging solutions has increased rapidly. In fact, we’ve just sold 84 integrated packaging systems in a single month, which are all due for delivery in early 2019.”

Founded in 1982, the company takes credit for “revolutionizing the snack food industry” by inventing the rotary, continuous motion, high-speed VFFS system. Over the years it has evolved into a global leader of food processing and packaging solutions for a wide range of industries, including the frozen vegetable and potato sector.

Inauguration of the new factory in Australia follows the opening earlier this year of a food processing center in the Netherlands, which is dedicated to making fryers and freezers in addition to peelers, washers and dryers. This adds to recent openings of new and expanded offices and resource centers in Tokyo, Bangkok, Dubai, Moscow and Mexico.

In offering an extensive assortment of equipment ranging from materials handling, processing, cooling, coating, distribution, seasoning, weighing, packaging, inserting and labeling, metal detection, verification and end-of-line solutions, TNA has positioned itself as a single-source supplier of integrated solutions for every step of the potato processing line, including chips, french fries and other specialty products.
