SeaPak Lobster & Shrimp Bites in 14-ounce retail packs are now being rolled out in the freezer aisles of supermarkets and grocery stores across the United States. The lightly breaded product, which can be served as a snack or appetizer, is accented with a mixture of savory cheese and shallots.

“Lobster is one of the most popular shellfish items on US restaurant menus, so we’re excited to be able to offer a quick and easy lobster option that can fit nicely into any budget or schedule,” said Kristen Beadon, SeaPak Shrimp & Seafood Co.’s director of marketing. “Home meal makers can now conveniently prepare a restaurant-quality lobster experience in the comfort of their own kitchen.”

Interest in cook-at-home seafood has been increasing rapidly during the past year, in part because of restaurant closures and dining restrictions imposed by governments coping with the novel coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2) pandemic. Additionally, the growing popularity of lobster and innovative seafood flavors has been a trend that Saint Simons Island, Geogia-based SeaPak has been watching for the last several years.

The company has been busy with new product introductions lately, having recently debuted Coconut-breaded Cod in 7.5-ounce retail packs priced at $8.99.

In business since 1948, SeaPak markets a wide assortment of value-added seafood items and produces America’s top-selling retail frozen shrimp brand within the specialty seafood category. It is a unit of Buffalo, New York-headquartered Rich Products Corporation’s Consumer Brands Division, which includes Farm Rich frozen snacks and appetizers, Coffee Rich non-dairy creamer, Byron’s BBQ, Casa Di Bertacchi Italian meatballs and Carvel Ice Cream Cakes.
